Admissions
Families are invited to apply for admission for the 2026/2027 school year
Carolina Collegiate Academy serves students in the middle to early high school range, generally grades 6 through 10. The academy is designed for students who are curious, capable, and ready to engage seriously with academic work in a small community setting.
CCA is particularly well suited for students who thrive in smaller environments, benefit from flexible pacing, or have not found the right fit in larger traditional school settings. Neurodivergent learners are welcome and the program is intentionally designed with those students in mind.
CCA is designed to grow alongside its students. The academy currently enrolls students in grades 6 through 10 and will add upper grade levels each year as the program develops, with the goal of serving students through grade 12. Families enrolling a student in 8th, 9th, or 10th grade can expect the program to grow with them rather than requiring a transition to another school as their student advances. CCA is built to be a long term academic home, not a temporary solution.
Because Carolina Collegiate Academy operates as a hybrid microschool, students must be enrolled in a South Carolina Homeschool Option 3 Accountability Group. The academy supports families in understanding this requirement during the admissions conversation. We are in the approval process to accept Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) students.
Families are encouraged to share their student's current academic level and any learning support needs during the admissions conversation so the academy can confirm the program is a strong fit before enrollment is offered.
The Admissions Process
Enrollment at Carolina Collegiate Academy is designed to ensure the program is a strong mutual fit for both the student and the family. The process is straightforward and begins with a conversation rather than a lengthy application.
There is no application fee. Families are welcome to reach out, ask questions, and complete the admissions conversation at no cost. A deposit is required only upon acceptance and confirmation of enrollment.
Step 1 — Reach out Submit an inquiry through the contact form or call or text us directly at (803) 271-0391. Let us know a little about your student and what you are looking for in a program. We respond personally to every inquiry within one to two business days.
Step 2 — Have a conversation Families are invited to a brief conversation with Nicole Foster, founder and lead instructor, to discuss the academy's structure, academic approach, and expectations. This is also an opportunity for families to ask questions and determine whether CCA is the right fit. Students may also be invited to share their interests, learning goals, and academic background.
Step 3 — Receive and confirm an enrollment offer If the program appears to be a strong mutual fit and space is available, families will receive a formal enrollment offer. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of a signed enrollment agreement and a $300 enrollment deposit, which is applied in full toward annual tuition and secures your student's place in the program for the academic year.
Tuition and Fees
Carolina Collegiate Academy is designed to remain accessible while providing a high quality academic program. Tuition covers academic instruction, curriculum development, laboratory materials and supplies, grading and evaluation, student progress reports, and transcript documentation for secondary level coursework.
Families may choose to pay annually or in monthly installments. Families who pay tuition in full receive a discount from the monthly rate. Both options include all lab materials and supplies with no additional fees beyond the enrollment deposit and estimated book costs.
Annual Tuition
$2,800 — Pay in full discount
Monthly Option
$295 per month for 10 months
Enrollment Deposit
$300 applied in full toward tuition, due upon acceptance
There is no application fee. Families complete the admissions process at no cost.
Curriculum is provided however students will need a small number of books and basic supplies throughout the year. A reading list is provided after enrollment so families can obtain materials in advance. Required texts are commonly available secondhand or through the public library, and most families spend well under $75 per year on books. Basic supplies such as a notebook, binder, and writing materials round out what students need to participate fully in the program.
Withdrawal Policy Because enrollment is limited and each student's place represents a significant commitment in the academy's annual planning, families who withdraw during the academic year remain responsible for tuition through the end of the current semester. Families anticipating the need to withdraw are encouraged to communicate with the academy as early as possible so that appropriate academic records and transition support can be provided.
