Zine Writing & Art Design (Grades 6-12) 18 Weeks - Asynchronous

from $20.00

Zines are self-published magazines, part art, part writing, part personal expression — and they have been used for decades by artists, activists, writers, and thinkers who wanted to say something on their own terms.

In this 18-week course students learn the craft behind making a zine from the ground up. They explore writing styles, visual design principles, layout and composition, typography, illustration, and the creative decision-making that turns a blank page into something worth sharing. The course culminates in students completing their own original zine — a finished, personal creative work they made entirely themselves.

This course is designed for students who love to create, who have something to say, or who have never thought of themselves as artists or writers but are curious enough to try. No prior art or writing experience required.
